Steer a hungry little void around a cute town, swallow everything smaller than you, and race to gobble up the entire place - cars, houses, and whole buildings - as fast as you can.
Mochi Hole is a free eat-and-grow arcade game in the hole.io style, rebuilt with a soft pastel town and a chunky, satisfying sense of escalation. You control a tiny black hole - a dark circle ringed in a soft purple glow - drifting across a cozy little neighbourhood. Anything smaller than your hole gets pulled in, teeters on the rim for a beat, and drops into the void with a gulp, and every bite makes you a little bigger. Start by hoovering up mochi, cups, and coins; finish by swallowing benches, cars, trees, houses, and entire buildings. The whole game is the giddy feeling of going from snacking on crumbs to eating the skyline.
The controls are dead simple and work the same on a phone or a computer. Drag anywhere on the screen and the hole accelerates toward your finger, gliding with a little momentum and drift so it feels weighty rather than twitchy. On a keyboard you can steer with WASD or the arrow keys instead. There is nothing to aim and nothing to time precisely - you just roam the town deciding what to gobble next, and the hole does the satisfying part for you as objects spiral down into the dark.
Size is everything. Each object has a footprint, and you can only swallow things noticeably smaller than your current radius - anything bigger is a solid obstacle that bumps and deflects you until you grow enough to take it on. The town is laid out so the tiny things cluster in the middle and the big things (cars on the roads, trees and houses toward the edges, tall buildings at the rim) sit further out, which naturally pulls you outward as you swell. Everything your hole can currently swallow lights up with a soft glow, so you can always see what is fair game as you grow. The camera obligingly zooms out as you grow, so the world keeps feeling enormous right up until you're devouring it whole.
Each round is a tight, replayable speed-clear: there's no time limit, and you win by gathering up every last object in the town. A timer tracks how long your clean sweep takes, and your fastest clear is saved privately in your own browser so there's always a time to beat. A single tap drops you straight back in for another go. Like every game on Anime Mochi it's free, needs no download or account, and plays instantly on a phone, tablet, or desktop.

What sells Mochi Hole is the snowball, and it was tuned by formula rather than by feel. The ladder runs thirty rungs, from a crumb up through mochi, candy, coins and cookies, on past benches, scooters and cars, and finishing on a skyscraper with a lit window grid and an antenna. Crucially, the bites needed to climb a rung shrink as you rise, from about six and a half snacks early on to roughly two near the top. So the run opens patient and snacky and ends with you inhaling whole streets, which is precisely the curve this kind of game lives or dies on.
The eating rule is sharper than it looks. You can only swallow something whose footprint is under sixty percent of your radius, so the boundary between snack and wall keeps moving as you swell, and anything you can currently swallow is ringed with a soft glow so it is always obvious what is fair game. Edible things teeter on the rim, get tugged toward the centre, then spiral in over a third of a second; bigger objects are solid and deflect you, killing only your inward velocity so you slide along them. The gulp pitches bright for crumbs and drops to a ninety-hertz rumble for anything large, with a screenshake reserved for the genuinely big bites.
The town is built to pull you outward. Snacks cluster at the centre with an extra dense pocket dropped right on your spawn, while buildings ring the town edge, so growing naturally walks you toward the high-value rim. Past the town sits a ring of wilderness, stocked only with trees, saplings, bushes and scattered snacks, a calmer expanse to sweep up once the streets are clear. Steering carries weight: the hole sheds sideways drift as you turn so it heads where you point, and the camera eases out as you grow while keeping the void big and clear.
It is gentle by design and there is no way to lose: there is no time limit, only the goal of gathering up every last object and a best clear time kept in your own browser. If you stop steering for about five seconds, or spend roughly six bumping things you cannot eat yet, a finger surfaces and points at the nearest legal bite, then vanishes the instant you touch the controls. The honest read is a very low floor and a ceiling set by your routing: anyone finishes a run, but threading the densest cluster of cars and squeezing one last building into the final seconds is where it quietly turns into a contest with yourself.
Every object you swallow makes your hole a little bigger, and bigger objects grow you more. You can only swallow things that are noticeably smaller than your current size, so you start on tiny things like mochi and coins, grow on those, and work your way up to cars, houses, and whole buildings.
Because it's bigger than your hole right now. Anything larger than you acts as a solid obstacle that bumps you away. Go swallow more small and medium objects to grow, then come back - once your hole is big enough, that car or house starts glowing to show it's finally fair game.
The round ends when you've swallowed everything in the town - the bar at the top fills up as you gather it all. There's no timer counting down and no way to lose; instead a timer counts up, and clearing the whole place gives you your finish time, with your fastest clear saved as your best.
It's an eat-and-grow .io game in the spirit of hole.io: a top-down arcade game where you control a hole that devours an entire town, growing bigger with every bite. Mochi Hole wraps that loop in a soft, kawaii art style and a tight timed round that's quick to pick up and easy to replay.
It's completely free with no download or account. Your fastest clear time is stored privately in your own browser, so it's waiting for you next time you play on the same device.
Yes. It's built mobile-first and plays instantly in any modern phone or tablet browser - just drag your finger to steer the hole. It works the same on a desktop with a mouse, or with WASD and the arrow keys.
